Penn Hills Memorial Day Parade

SSC will be participating in this year's Memorial Day parade located in Penn Hills on May 27. Looking for riders and volunteers to promote Stonybrook. If you will be in the area, stop by the parade and look for us and our horses in our trademark red and black colors.

Volunteers are needed to help out at the shows. Help will be needed in the entry booth, working the gates, setting up and taking down obstacles for classes, announcing, Stonybrook Cafe, etc. Volunteers also needed to help at the Judged Pleasure Rides. Contact Marylynn Fentress (412) 767-5750 if you or somone you know if interested in helping out. Points toward Stonybrook Bucks will be given out to all members that volunteer any of their time.

Bleachers

Here at Stonybrook we strive to provide a great horse related experience not just to the horses and riders, but to the loyal friends and family of these pairs that come to watch. This year we aim to build new bleachers. If anyone is interested in donating their time please contact Don Clements on Facebook. We are also looking for sponsorships to help pay for the bleachers.

Stonybrook Saddle Club is a non-profit organization that has offered equestrian activites for all ages and riding styles for the past 50 years.  Mounted or un-mounted this is the club for you!

Stonybrook hosts a Judged Pleasure Ride in the spring and fall, and 4 Open Horse Shows in the summer.  And back for the 2013 season- 2 Fun Shows!  Our show classes include Peewees, Juniors, Novice Walk-Trot, Seniors, Open, English, Western, Hunter, and Games.  We offer a wide variety of classes for all breeds and levels of rider.  Quality Judges, Ribbons and High Point Award offered at every Show.

Want to earn some Bucks? How about some Stonybrook Bucks! Stonybrook Bucks are awarded to club members who volunteer their time at any and all club events. Every club member has the chance to earn Bucks. Some changes have been made to the 2013 Stonybrook Bucks outline, so be sure to check it out. And remember, it is your responsibility to keep track of your points to redeem at the end of the year.

Our beautiful 16+ acre club grounds are situated on Clements Road in Plum Boro.  We have a heated clubhouse with a kitchen, large area for parking horse trailers, with some electrical hook ups. Our outdoor arena is 136 ft x 236 ft, lighted with very good footing consisting of sand and top soil. Club meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the 1st Friday of the month, April through November at the clubhouse.  At our End of the Year Awards Banquet in November, we recognize high point winners from our shows, enjoy great food and raffle.
